Timetable 2018 (GTFS) - Daten | Open-Data-Plattform öV Schweiz

DE Description

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://opentransportdata.swiss/dataset/timetable-2018-gtfs

Hello, the number of stations in 2018 dataset is ~25000 as compared to > 30000 in the 2017 dataset. Could you please explain such difference or maybe it’s a mistake?

Hello, I also would like to ask if you could extend your dataset to specify whether certain trips only have 2nd class available and implement more route types, such as night buses. Thank you

Hi,

I have 2 questions about those data:

  • Question 1

Is there any way to determine if a service_id such as “TA+b04vz” correspond to a “standard schedule” or to a “special schedule” (for example a schedule used during holiday only). I’ve found no information about that in the GTFS documentation.

  • Question 2

I noticed that some agency (for example the agence_id = 801 (PostAuto Schweiz)) have a direction_id always equal to “1”. For this agency there is no way to determine the direction of the trip. Is that a mistake or the agency simply don’t provide those informations ?

Thank you

Hi, working with this interesting data I stumbled upon one strange mapping.
In routes.txt the routing_type of “Sesselbahn” is 1700 (Miscellaneous Service). Although this is probably technically not wrong, I would suggest to map it to 1304 (Chair Lift Service) which describes it better.
Details to the mapping according to Google can be found here: https://developers.google.com/transit/gtfs/reference/extended-route-types
What do you think?

Hi there,

Is there any chance of also getting the shapes.txt table? If not do you know of another way of getting the exact way of individual trips?
